When you’re feeling down, it can be tempting to turn to food to lift your spirits. However,that can turn to a negative habit as the sugary, high calorie treats that many people resort to can negative consequences of their own. But hey Knowing what foods we should and shouldn’t be eating can be really confusing, especially when it feels like the advice changes regularly.
Food can be responsible for our moods? Yes it can be!
Because low levels of zinc, iron, B vitamins, magnesium, vitamin D, and omega-3 fatty acids are associated with worsening mood and decreased energy. Eating too many refined carbohydrates. High intakes of unhealthy, processed carbohydrates, such as white bread and pastries, cause blood sugars to rise and fall rapidly.
There is a messenger chemical in the brain called serotonin, which improves mood and how we feel. Serotonin is made with a part of protein from the diet (tryptophan), and more of this may get into the brain when carbohydrate-rich foods are eaten. Eating breakfast regularly leads to improved mood, according to some researchers — along with better memory, more energy throughout the day, and feelings of calmness.
So what is your comfort food!
Yeah! If you call something comfort food, you mean it is enjoyable to eat and makes you feel happier, although it may not be very good for your health.
For me spicy food are my comfort
Noddles, rice when they are warm and spicy
